In addition to specializing in providing correspondent banking products and services to community banks we also provide bank holding company loans, over line participations, leasing, secondary mortgage products, cash letter/cash management, municipal bond underwriting, investment trading, safekeeping and portfolio accounting, correspondent credit services, international services, and bank card products.We are seeking an Business Financial Analyst for our Madison, WI location. The role will work with Product Management and TA (Technology and Analytics) leadership to develop and deploy solutions. The key responsibilities include gathering requirements, analyzing data, improving processes, assessing risks, and collaborating with stakeholders. A qualified individual is also expected to actively assist system owners with questions regarding analysis of output, being able to trace an issue from the symptom to cause is paramount in this role and often requires understanding of financial and banking processes.Requirements Gathering & Analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business units, operations, and TA teams, to elicit and document detailed requirements.
  • Analyze existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into development-ready functional specifications.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to financial products, customer behavior, and market trends.
Process Improvement
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Propose changes to existing workflows, policies, or procedures to optimize business processes.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
  • Assess risks associated with new initiatives, products, or system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Project Management & Communication
  • Manage small and medium projects as assigned.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Facilitate communication between business units, TA teams, and management.
Disaster Recovery Planning
  • Manage small and medium projects as assigned

  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to key stakeholders.
Business Operations Support
  • Leverage finance / banking knowledge to provide operational support to business unit applications owners when necessary
  • Assist with tier 2 level tickets and work items requiring research and analysis of outputs to determine the root cause
  • Ability to learn and master various core and financial systems used around the Bank.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the position functions of the job. One year of experience in product analysis or design.. Banking experience preferred.
