The Complete Office Family of Companies is looking to add a high-performing Senior Level Outside Furniture salesperson to our team. This role will be focused on selling in the business to business communities throughout central Indiana and will be supported by team members in all of our company locations. (Indianapolis and New Castle).These sales positions will be responsible for growing both sales in the furniture division of our company:
  • Office Furniture Division--Office furniture, office design and space planning and related services such as office moves, office relocations and furniture repair.
  • This side of the business will also be provided leads through our supplies division which provides the following product to over 1,000 businesses in central Indiana.
  • Supply Division----Office supplies, janitorial supplies, break room supplies, personal protection equipment and printing.
This is primarily a new business development role:
Lead generation and opportunity development are the responsibility of the Senior Level Outside Sales representative. You will target opportunities and set up meetings with key decision-makers to perform a needs analysis, document the scope and needs of the project and communicate that with our interior design team. You will also be responsible for closing the sales, making sure deposit checks are secured from clients and finally performing post-install walk-throughs with the clients.
You will also be responsible for inquiries from our existing base of clients which come in on a regular basis.The ideal candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years of solid business-to-business sales experience in a fast-paced environment, a proven track record of success in sales and extensive cold-calling/prospecting experience. Strong consultative selling skills are required to gain customer buy-in and to build relationships with prospective clients. This position will be responsible for helping identify, qualify, contact prospective clients and close new business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow-up skills and solid relationship-building skills are key to this person’s success.Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and securing new profitable business is the number 1 priority in this job.
  • Identify and contact key decision makers within new clients.
  • Schedule and meet with 5-10 target-sized accounts each week.
  • Track activities with prospects and clients in our CRM
  • Identify and understand the competition and their weaknesses--and record this information for future use
  • Maintain consistent contact with prospects before, during and after the sale. The expectation is for Senior Sales Team members to stay engaged with new customers throughout the first year.
  • Secure a book of business equal to an annual run rate of $1,500.000.00 within 18 months. (quotas will be set and reviewed with you on a quarterly basis).
  • Attain a gross profit margin at or above quota requirements.
  • Develop a quarterly one-page sales plan and sales forecast.
  • Help identify new categories of products or services that could be distributed through The Complete Family of Companies.
  • Work in a team environment and communicate professionally and politely with all team members.

  • Driven to be the best.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Professional demeanor (you will frequently be dealing with business owners and C-suite individuals).
This position has a $50,000.00 starting base along with a commission and bonus structure that will initiate as sales quotas are met. Commissions and bonuses are not capped, providing hard-charging individuals the opportunity to make an unlimited income.
