RC/Department: 6414 -SEREG SHIPYARD RIVER TERMINAL :BULKBPosition DescriptionDiagnose problems and maintain a variety of material bulk handling equipment • Assist in the transportation and movement of mechanical bulk handling equipment • Assembles and installs equipment such as drive motors, conveyors, and pulley assemblies • Perform stick welding and/or cutting torch operations as needed • Aligns machines and equipment for proper operation • Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures • Repairs and lubricates material bulk handling machines and equipment • Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment, and makes adjustments • Operates a variety of equipment such as cutting torch, welder, forklift, hand tools and electric meters • Lubricates moving parts, examines and operates repaired equipment to verify equipment conformance to specifications • Performs activities of co-workers as directed • Take direction and report to direct supervisor (Terminal Maintenance Supervisor). As a member of the general maintenance crew, perform duties pertaining to the maintenance crew; grease/lubricating bearings, rollers, belts, O/H crane bucket, crane cable repairs etc. • Discharging of Vessels. • Other functions as trained and assignedPosition Requirements
- Regular work attendance is required • Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations • Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s driver license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge: • 2-5 years experience with conveying, material handling systems
