As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of various mechanical systems. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the safety and efficiency of industrial facilities.Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of mechanical design projects, while proactively resolving any issues that may arise.- Design and engineer site mechanical systems, including steam and/or hot water, chilled water, HVAC, industrial gases, building automation, and similar systems.- Adhere to applicable codes and regulatory standards to ensure the safety and compliance of designs.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to effectively communicate complex instructions and present numerical data for decision-making.- Visit client facilities to assess project requirements and provide technical support.Essential Job Functions:- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.- Possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in an industrial and/or consulting engineering setting, with progressively increased responsibilities.- Hold a Professional Engineering license in MN or another state, with the ability to obtain the MN PE license within 6 months.- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of applicable mechanical design codes, such as ASME, NFPA, API, ASHRAE, and ANSI.- Have extensive experience with site mechanical design, including steam and/or hot water, chilled water, HVAC, industrial gases, building automation, and similar systems.- Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively resolve issues in a multidisciplinary team environment.- Be willing and capable of visiting clients at their industrial facilities.- Have excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and interpret complex instructions in English.- Present numerical data effectively and accurately for decision-making.- Work ethically and with complete integrity to ensure the safety and cost-effectiveness of designs.- Be willing and able to travel to client facilities and other company locations.Preferred Qualifications:- Hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.- Demonstrate extensive experience with industrial refrigeration, particularly ammonia systems for food processing facilities.- Have experience with design of pressure vessels and code calculations associated with ASME BPVC VIII Division 1, as well as ASME S, U, and NBIC R-Stamp repairs.- Possess experience with design and construction of high-pressure piping systems associated with ASME B31.1, B31.3, and Section IX.- Have experience in vibration analysis and mitigation.Working Conditions:- Office environment - extensive sitting at a desk and computer, with some standing, bending at the waist, stooping, and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.- Construction site environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb; exposed to high nois
