CMT Field Technician

- Read and understand blueprints and specifications
- Communicate effectively with Atlas engineering staff and contractors
- Follow Atlas directives and standards
- Perform field testing and inspection of construction materials and activities and accurately record test results and daily filed observations.
- Perform all job functions within ATLAS's safety guidelines
- Assist other departments as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
- Reasoning, mathematical and language skills (read, write and speak acceptable business English)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs, stop, bend and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour work day in varying weather conditions in varying terrain
- At least one (1) year experience with concrete, soils, and asphalt testing is preferred, but not required
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience in Construction Quality Assurance is desirable
- Nuke gauge certification preferred
- ACI, NICET, ICC, INDOT or other certifications
- Ability to travel as necessary for job related duties
- Ability to pass criminal background checks
