- Strategize, plan, and manage the day-to-day content of all email marketing initiatives that contribute to the overall communications goal and positively maintain the company’s brand
- Build and execute email campaigns, including list building, segmentation analysis, browser and testing and email publishing
- Develop, execute, and analyze email automation and workflows for various branch and department needs
- Develop, execute, and analyze A/B testing for optimal email performance
- Monitor and drive email campaign targets reporting and tracking processes, along with testing methodologies and results reporting
- Audit the creative for all emails to ensure link and landing page accuracy as well as proper tracking parameters etc.; providing creative direction and hands-on execution when needed
- Regularly report on campaign and lifecycle marketing program performance to Marketing Managers
- Prepare reports, presentations, and general updates as often as needed to audiences of varying technical expertise and levels of responsibility
- Determine target audience, devise campaign, and launch email campaign to create buzz or generate leads for the business
- Work with Design and other cross functional teams to audit and test email campaigns
- Use email analytics to re-define current processes and procedures
- Provide feedback and analysis to branches/departments on their email marketing initiatives
- Act as lead specialist for other email marketing positions providing guidance and direction as needed
- Become and remain familiar with mortgage specific products and services, licensing, disclosure and any other DHI Mortgage Compliance requirements using internal resources
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Communications, Digital Media, Advertising, Marketing and/or Business
- Four plus years of related experience and/or training developing, managing, monitoring, and analyzing email marketing in a corporate setting
- Knowledge of professional email marketing management in a hands-on capacity and utilizing ESP platforms to build and execute email campaigns
- Knowledge of building and driving reporting of email KPIs
- Experience working with Design and other cross functional teams to audit and test email campaigns
- Proficient knowledge of HTML (email friendly) – should be able to use, read and troubleshoot HTML as necessary, CAN-SPAM Requirements and Email Best Practices
- Working knowledge of SEO/SEM, web analytics, and social media
- Exceptional writer and editor for varied audiences and ability to communicate in a direct, concise manner, while also making the content interesting and compelling
- Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, including the executive committee
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines and budget(s)
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DHI Mortgage applications
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
- Proficient experience with Click Dimensions a plus
- Proficient or have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.), CSS and other markup languages a plus
