
CNC Machinist Night Shift

- Full-time
- Requires long periods of standing (up to 10 hours/day).
- Must be able to operate overhead cranes.
- Although all production areas have overhead cranes, on occasion Manufacturing, Stockroom and Assembly employees may choose to lift items by hand for convenience. It is the responsibility of all employees to follow correct lifting techniques and seek help or utilize mechanical lifting aids as appropriate to avoid potential injury.
- Requires good eye, hand coordination.
- Requires use of hand tools, files, sanders and grinders.
- Safety is our first priority. Machinist must be able to operate machinery safely and follow all established Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Experience in operation of Haas and Mazak machinery.
- Perform job setup with effective use of fixtures, clamps, jigs, templates, vises, chucks, parallels, work stops and other related items to apply proper work holding techniques.
- Read prints, shop order, tooling instructions and layout sheets to determine product specifications, work-holding arrangement and cutting tools to be used.
- Ability to read g-code program and compare with part drawing to prevent errors.
- Observe machine control panel and compare with data on job documentation to verify proper process and adjust cutting speeds and feeds as necessary.
- Provide information to make corrections to existing set-up sheets, programs, or processes.
- Establish and adjust tool offsets and machine zero reference points as necessary.
- Selection, measurement, use, and build of predefined tool assemblies.
- Proper use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, caliper, and indicator.
- Must keep assigned machine(s) and work area cleaned and neat.
- Perform preventative machine maintenance.
- Deburr/Part mark as needed.
- Operation of multiple CNC machines may be required.

- It is every employee's responsibility to improve processes to reduce set-up and run-time standards when possible.
