Job Title: Active Directory (AD) AdministratorJob Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Active Directory Administrator with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise-level AD environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of identity and access management, group policy management, and AD security best practices. This role supports a hybrid work model, with preference for candidates who can work in Chicago or remotely in US time zones.Key Responsibilities:Design, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale Active Directory and Group Policy infrastructuresPerform user account provisioning, deprovisioning, permissions management, and group membership auditsAdminister DNS, DHCP, and AD-integrated servicesImplement and maintain AD security policies, hardening protocols, and compliance standardsTroubleshoot and resolve authentication, replication, and domain controller issuesSupport integration with Azure AD, Office 365, Okta, and other identity platformsCollaborate with InfoSec and IT teams on access control, privileged access management, and security incident investigationsExecute disaster recovery planning, backups, and restoration for AD environmentsGenerate documentation for AD configurations, operational procedures, and knowledgebase articlesParticipate in change management, patching cycles, and security upgradesRequired Skills & Qualifications:8–10 years of professional experience in Active Directory administrationStrong knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), LDAP, Kerberos, and AD replicationSolid understanding of DNS, DHCP, FSMO roles, and OU structure designFamiliarity with Azure Active Directory, SSO, and cloud identity integrationScripting experience in PowerShell for automation and AD reportingExperience working in enterprise environments and hybrid cloud infrastructuresExcellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsKnowledge of security standards, such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or ISO 27001 is a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferredRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, MCSA) are a plus
