The Sr. Manager WMS is responsible for the effective and sustainable implementation of warehouse management systems, fulfillment applications and associated distribution center processes. The role is critical to guiding the functional development, technical configuration, user-acceptance testing, and support mechanisms required to deploy WMS technology to our distribution centers. The role is an essential liaison between our Supply Chain Solutions, Operations, and Information Technology teams for the systemic enablement of business processes throughout the distribution network.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Job Responsibilities
  • Develop a warehouse management systems implementation and support plan for distribution environments to scale Manhattan Active Warehouse Management throughout the network including conversion of existing systems (Triceps, LCS, Retalix, Manh WMOS and Albsys) and new implementations.
  • Deploy Manhattan Active Warehouse Management to include business requirements identification, configuration, testing, user acceptance, operational readiness, go-live execution, hyper-support, and post implementation support for inventory management, warehouse management, labor management, order management, regulatory compliance and customer-facing requirements. Responsible for documenting critical implementation processes, generating status reporting and effective communication to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support the operational integration mechanisms between WMS and supply chain systems such as TMS, OM, automation/mechanization WCS, and other adjacent systems (ERP/Host, slotting, payroll, etc.).
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures, training documentation and curriculum to support the deployment and sustainability of warehouse management systems in the distribution centers.
  • Support DC Operations with the process improvement, business requirements and guiding system or process solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Act as a liaison for IT and Operations for initiative implementation, assessment of impact and change management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
  • BS degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or related field; or equivalent work experience
Experience:
  • 10-plus years of experience in distribution operations
  • 5-plus years of experience in information technology systems
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Knowledge of food distribution operations including warehouse, inventory, and transportation operations
  • Experience in supply chain systems implementation including WMS and integrated systems; working knowledge of Manhattan preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience organizing and leading complex and/or enterprise-wide initiative implementations
  • General understanding of financial, accounting and inventory management principles including operations management
  • Experience developing and deploying training curriculum to associates and management personnel
  • Experience effectively developing others to enhance team performance and associate career development
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage speed, agility and thought diversity to deliver results and achieve goals in the face adversity
  • Ability to identify and action technical solutions to business problems to support business improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate across multiple levels and roles within the organization
  • Proven ability to effectively manage accountability and measures to hold self and others accountable for performance results
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, customer focus and ability to establish effective relationships
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project & PowerPoint, Visio or flow-charting and working knowledge of SQL and other structured database query tools
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/DEMANDS:75% travel required to support distribution center operations * General duties are performed in a temperature-controlled office environment but requires support of multi-temp industrial workplace environment
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
