
Inventory Control Specialist

- Monitor inventory levels in assigned location.
- Ensure that physical inventory is in line with Scale inventory.
- Executes cycle count plan for assigned location accurately and on schedule.
- Compile inventory control reports and provide them to Inventory Control Manager as required
- Research and resolve any out of accuracy situations, with the assistance of the Inventory Control Manager and management.
- Assist with any additional employee inventory control training as necessary.
- Participate in periodic inventory audits (stress tests) to confirm that Yusen is achieving SLA inventory accuracy levels at assigned location or other locations as directed.
- Participate in wall-to-wall inventory counts as dictated by Inventory Control Manager.
- Be knowledgeable of real time inventory accuracy and be prepared to discuss with management without significant prior notice.
- Assist Inventory Control Manager in ensuring that all employees are trained properly on inventory control procedures and that all employees are following those procedures to a 100% level.
- Develop extensive Kaizens to improve the inventory control process such that Yusen exceeds the SLA prescribed minimum accuracy levels.
- Participate in initiatives related to creating a culture where Inventory accuracy is of paramount importance.
- Machine Opearation including but not limited to Cherry Picker, etc.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- High School degree is required
- Cherry Picker experience
- Two years’ experience in a quality control/inventory control position is required.
- Solid knowledge of math and proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
