Responsibilities:
  • Assess system architecture and current hardware limitations
  • Participate in gathering business and product functional and performance requirements
  • Define and design system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software
  • compatibility
  • Participate in customer briefings and technical exchanges
  • Frequent local DC Metro Area travel
  • Occasional Domestic and/or International travel
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience as a systems engineer or similar role
  • Experience working with Linux (RHEL or CentOS a plus)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, networking, shell scripting
  • Active TS security clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • Redhat Certified Systems Administrator/Redhat Certified Engineer
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle
  • Experience with configuration management and discrepancy tracking tools
  • Experience with Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
