- Provides excellence in customer service and ensures the same from all employees.
- Assists the Director of Slot Operations in the development, implementation and monitoring of slot policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the goals and objectives of Sandia Casino.
- Directs Assistant Shift Managers and Slot Supervisors in coordinating the work of their assigned employees and assigned areas of responsibility to assure shift continuity.
- Performs assigned slot department activities in accordance with policies and procedures prescribed in the Sandia Casino System of Internal Controls.
- Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Slot Department budget.
- Identifies staff development needs and ensures recommended training is completed. Responsible for training staff on current and new technology of slot machines.
- Oversees scheduling of all shift employees and ensures payroll is completed.
- Communicates information to incoming Shift Manager.
- Effectively deals with routine guest complaints and concerns; investigates and resolves issues with optimal outcome.
- Approves and verifies large jackpot pay outs per internal controls and Title 31 reporting regulations.
- Responsible for hiring and training of slot employees. Administers disciplinary actions consistent with Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures adherence to federal cash reporting requirements.
- Conducts/Ensures that employee Performance Appraisals are done in a timely manner.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.
- Provides direct management and supervision to all reporting
- Team Members typically for a larger department, operational area or more complex professional department. Functions as an advisor to the operations and sets goals that are results oriented, organized, and account for business challenges.
- Guides the team to achieve a well-defined structure and efficient operation.
- Delegates responsibilities to the most qualified Team Members through observing and understanding strengths and weaknesses.
- Creates an environment of teamwork, through communicating common goals, shows appreciation for team members contributions and on-going support, and leads by example.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively in a professional and articulate manner.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of all reporting departments/operational areas.

- Ability to develop and administer a slot budget.
- Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
- Ability to write reports and maintain slot files and employee schedules.
- Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees and Tribal members.
- Knowledge of Casino operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of all slot and gaming equipment.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
- Ability to count and verify large sums of money: coin/cash.
- Ability to recognize and process jackpot payouts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Five (5) years of slot operations experience in a management role.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
- Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
- Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
- Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
- Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
- Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
- Specific required movements include the following:
- Trunk – bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry
- Arms – reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.
- Legs – lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
