The Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and material handling systems within a warehouse environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, with an emphasis on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and relays.Program and troubleshoot PLCs, including basic I/O functions and industrial controls.Maintain and repair dock equipment, forklifts, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.Perform preventative maintenance on MHE, electric vehicles, pallet trucks, and other equipment.
- Conduct facility repairs (that could include, welding, plumbing, racking, structural) and installations (cabling, office setups).
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or equipment repair.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with automated conveyor systems and basic electrical/electronic systems.
- Certifications (Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machinist) preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints.
- Strong understanding of electrical (AC/DC), mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot industrial machinery and PLC logic systems.
- Proficient in basic carpentry, plumbing, and metal fabrication.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive, and efficient.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Effective in working independently with minimal direction.
- Champion a facility utilizing 5s principles and ensure its integration into daily routines; while promoting a culture of organization and cleanliness throughout the facility.
