In this work environment, all team members are part of a community and appreciated by the people they work with – residents and coworkers – every day.SummaryThe “Chauffeur, Non-DOT” is responsible for driving the community van or bus (including only vehicles transporting up to 15 passengers) and assists in managing social activities for the residents in and out of the communityResponsibilities1. Provides a high level of customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments and other outings; Provides assistance to residents to include boarding and leaving the bus, assistance with seat belts, walkers, securing wheelchairs, groceries and packages2. Assists the Lifestyle Enrichment Director or Service Coordinator by coordinating transportation for events, activities, appointments, etc.3. Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including: fueling vehicle and conducting preventative maintenance on vehicle to include oil level, tire pressure and delivering vehicle to authorized service facility; Keeps the vehicle clean4. Follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations and standard practice; Reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately5. Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, wearing protective clothing and equipment when requiredQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
