Job Description:Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accountable for projects that improve safety, quality, delivery and costs across a broad range of manufacturing processes.
  • Responsible for developing and executing a portfolio of Value Improvement Projects (VIP) that improve Value of Production (VOP) 5% year-over-year.
  • Responsible for ensuring new product introductions and product transfers are executed according to all applicable procedures.
  • Participate in material review board activities within assigned area of responsibility. Determine disposition with respect to rework, repair or scrap. Ensure proper inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Point of contact for day-to-day production issues, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Education & ExperienceB.S. degree in Engineering. Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical preferred.Minimum 5-years of manufacturing experience in a lean manufacturing facility.Skills
  • Experience researching, specifying, installing and commissioning of production equipment.
  • Experience developing and writing work instructions and training production operators.
  • Experience and training in the deployment of lean manufacturing.
  • Shingijutsu sensei training a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in machining operations and CNC programming a plus
  • Knowledgeable in high temperature equipment and processes a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with problem analysis and resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results working with others
  • Experience with MS Office suite, Excel, Project, Access or other database systems,
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Oracle or SAP preferred)
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

  • Ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 15kg (33 lbs).
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility.
