Hospital Medicine Physician

• We are seeking a nocturnist to join our well-established team with 18 physicians and seven advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator at Mt. Carmel East.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals from around the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
• Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement.
• Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports.

• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
• We proudly sponsor H1B visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.

• The nocturnist schedule is 7 on/7 off but we understand the importance of spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. That's why we offer a flexible schedule that allows for work-life balance. Our team covers for each other when anyone is out, ensuring that you can enjoy time off without worry.

• Focus on managing complex cases in an open ICU environment with intensivist coverage, without the expectation of performing procedures or running codes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching medical and APP students from surrounding universities and programs on occasion.
• Participate in regular team meetings, held two to three times per week, to discuss critical items, and engage in monthly regional meetings to review performance and address outstanding practice matters.
