We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead multiple aerospace and military internal product development (IPD) teams through design, development, qualification, and LRIP production phases. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and ensures projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Program Manager will also support business development initiatives and coordinate cross-functional activities across assigned market segments.Key Responsibilities:Initiate internal activities to satisfy customer contract scope and statements of work.Drive achievement of major milestones while ensuring high customer satisfaction.Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customers.Monitor NRE costs, design-to-cost metrics, and schedule performance for assigned projects.Ensure customer satisfaction for all assigned projects.Create and release project Work Breakdown Schedules and maintain project schedules.Facilitate IPD team meetings, document minutes, and maintain Action Item Lists.Review and create labor and material plans and cost reports.Control project scope and resolve project cost, schedule, and technical performance issues.Escalate unresolved issues beyond the project team level.Ensure on-time delivery of major milestones within two weeks of baseline.Provide program management support for new business proposals and create PM deliverables.Manage bids for new or follow-on business proposals.Identify opportunities to grow business content with current project customers.Explore new or synergistic business opportunities in the assigned market segment.Support significant proposals with PMO inputs and review proposal bases of estimate.Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.Identify evolving customer needs to expand current and new product offerings.Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and quotas to achieve volume and profitability goals.Detect and manage risks early.Demonstrate the highest ethical standards.Additional Responsibilities:Close initiatives and activities in a timely manner through effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.Maintain strong relationships with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and other internal teams.Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and company policies to ensure regulatory compliance.Contribute to a positive work environment through clear communication and teamwork.Participate in team meetings and improvement initiatives, providing constructive recommendations.Keep management informed of area activities and significant issues.Maintain clean, secure, and well-organized work areas.Complete special projects and other assignments as required.Minimum Qualifications:Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industries preferred.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or business.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aerospace and/or military mechanical and/or electrical component or systems engineering design, development, and manufacturing.Understanding of basic project management principles (e.g., PMI standards).Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel, vendors, suppliers, and customers.Highly computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Excel, and other applicable systems.Must be a U.S. citizen.Work Environment:This role operates in both professional office and manufacturing/machine shop settings.Standard office equipment and appropriate protective equipment (eye, hearing, and foot protection) may be required.Overtime or weekend work may be needed depending on project requirements.Travel required: approximately 15-20%.Physical Requirements:Regularly required to see, talk, and hear.Frequently required to reach, lift, and use hands and arms.Required to stand, sit, walk, bend, and move about the facility.May need to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.Benefits:Competitive compensation package with incentive opportunities.Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.401(k) with company match.Tuition assistance.Paid vacation, sick and personal days, and holidays.Flexible scheduling options, including compressed workweeks.Multiple employee engagement events each quarter.Additional Notes:Many contracts require proof of U.S. citizenship and/or export licenses.
