- Implements, evaluates and manages the care and education of patients in the medical office.
- Reviews and updates patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence and determines needed services per practice protocol.
- Prepares patients for examinations, procedures and treatments by escorting them from the waiting area to an exam room. This includes but is not limited to taking vital signs, prepping for surgical procedures and obtaining laboratory tests.
- Gives injections, draws blood and performs laboratory test when necessary.
- Maintains medication records and administers medication upon physician order.
- Vaccines for children ordering and reporting.
- Takes EKGs and x-rays.
- Triages and responds to patient communications within practice policy.
- Schedules tests and treatments, preauthorizing patients when necessary.
- Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms.
- Prepares and maintains clinical supplies and equipment.
- Completes clinic transcription in a timely manner.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results timely.
- Understands and demonstrates compliance with HIPPA regulations and will comply with all JCH policies and procedures.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by the medical director and clinic manager.
- Patients are always our first priority.
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. Graduate of an accredited limited radiology technology program.
- LPN license in the state of Nebraska. Current LRT certificate.
- One year previous clinic experience helpful.
- Current CPR certification.
