Spurwink's Finance department is seeking an experienced Senior Collections Representative with a minimum of five years medical/behavioral health accounts receivable experience.The Senior Collections Representative will work to resolve outstanding accounts for Medicare, MaineCare and multiple Commercial/third party funders. This includes follow ups, corrections and resubmissions of claims for all denials. Develop tools to measure trends in denial reasons, work to resolve complex collection accounts, assist with training and development of new collections staff. The starting rate of pay is depending on experience.DUTIES:
Follow up on all outstanding MaineCare accounts greater than 30 days old.
Follow up on all outstanding Medicare accounts greater than 60 days.
Follow up on all outstanding Commercial and Third-Party Funder accounts greater than 60 days.
Identify billing inconsistencies and communicate these inconsistencies back to the staff.
Develop tools to measure trends and patterns of denials 6. Respond to any patient inquiries regarding statements.
Assist with training and development of new collections staff.
Work closely with Verifications & Cash Posting Teams 9. Assist in development, implementation, and maintaining Collections Policies and Procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.Minimum Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years medical collections experience required. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills are a must. Willingness to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity and experience with computer database packages, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and EHR software. Working knowledge or payer websites.Robust Benefits Package:
