We’re looking for a reliable medical assistant to work directly with our healthcare staff and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll assist with examinations and assist with all pre/post clinical workup and data entry and assist our providers with patient history and scribe while our providers see patients.   • Speak with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with the healthcare staff
  • Complete the patient’s insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions
  • Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office
  • Pre/Post examination work up data and assist with document creation.Communicate with our providers all documented pre-examination history.
  • Scribe while our providers examine patients.
  • Assist with the communication of data for our providers to complete medical notes.
  • Some On-Call duties.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Should have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
  • Able to use a computer to complete administrative tasks
  • Completed an accredited medical assisting program and an externship in a supervised healthcare setting
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • At least 1 year of previous experience as a medical assistant performing administrative duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment
