- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Associate's: AA degree from school of Cardiovascular Technology preferred.
- Other: Minimum two years college or training at approved school of Cardiovascular Technology.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RCS-Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- OR ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric).
- Minimum 1 year experience as Cardiology technician in Cardiac and/or Echocardiography service.
- Experience performing Treadmill, Holter and SAECG studies preferred.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathophysiology, electrophysiology, and congential anatomies.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular ultrasound techniques and modalities.
- Demonstrates expertise in echocardiographic techniques and modalities
- Works effectively and positively with other employees.
- Performs well under stress and time constraints.
- Maintains professional communication with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.
- Works effectively with patient population.
- Demonstrates commitment to customer service and promotes a positive perception of the department and hospital.
