Join the Verisk Actuarial Consulting Team to contribute to the development and customization of products tailored specifically to our clients' needs.Responsibilities:The Actuarial Consulting team is looking to hire a motivated ACAS or FCAS actuary that will help lead consulting projects for our growing practice.Characteristics of the position include:
  • Working with external clients on a wide range of customized actuarial projects that can include both ratemaking studies and loss reserve analyses.
  • Exposure to a variety of both personal and commercial lines of business.
  • Presenting results of actuarial analyses to our clients, which can include both actuaries and non-actuaries.
  • Being involved with the sales process, including developing consulting proposals for potential new clients.
  • Becoming familiar with the wide range of Verisk products, and understanding how they can be incorporated into consulting projects.
  • Developing creative solutions to the challenges faced by our clients.
Qualifications:
  • Fellow of the CAS, or an Associate of the CAS that is actively pursuing the Fellowship designation.
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience or other relevant insurance product development experience is desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage individual consulting projects, and oversee the work of other members of the consulting team.
  • A desire to take ownership of projects to ensure high quality deliverables.
  • Technical background should include strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
