With connections to over 575 electrical contractors, we are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Estimator to join one of our partner firms.Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating team and oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the bidding process, providing expertise and guidance to ensure competitive and profitable project proposals.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the estimating process for electrical projects of varying size and complexity, from initial bid to final submission.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Analyze project requirements and scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support the estimating process.
  • Mentor and train junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project specifications.
  • Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in electrical estimating, with a demonstrated track record of successfully bidding and securing projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
