Work Days: 190FLSA Status: ExemptEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support ESE teachers and general education staff in effectively implementing specially designed instruction and evidence- based instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with school-based teams to ensure high-quality instructional planning and delivery for students with disabilities in various settings (e.g., resource, inclusion, co-teaching, self-contained).
- Maintain accurate and current information and prepare reports as requested by the ESE Director or Coordinator.
- Provide job-embedded professional learning, modeling, co-teaching, and side-by-side coaching to improve instructional practices.
- Design and deliver professional learning series focused on specially designed instruction, including differentiation, accommodations/modifications, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
- Facilitate professional development aligned with the adult learning theory and instructional coaching best practices.
- Serve as a resource on all special education eligibility categories and provide guidance on instructional approaches appropriate to the needs of students with varying exceptionalities.
- Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, and support staff to align school-based practices with district ESE initiatives and compliance expectations.
- Assist in interpreting and using student achievement data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
- Support the implementation of IEPs and monitor fidelity of instructional delivery.
- Promote inclusive practices that ensure all students' access to the general education curriculum.
- Remain current on state and federal guidelines, best practices in special education, and instructional coaching methodologies.
- Facilitate effective instructional progress monitoring and data collection, utilizing results to impact student academic achievement.
- Monitor the general supervision of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Hold a minimum of a T-5 Certificate, preferred.
- Must hold or be eligible to hold a Coaching Endorsement.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in special education.
- Minimum of 4 years as School-based Leadership, preferred.
- Possesses teaching experience resulting in an extensive repertoire of knowledge of Scientifically Based approach to adult teaching and learning.
- Knowledgeable in all areas of special education eligibility and corresponding instructional practices.
- Ability to work well with School-based Instructional Lead Teachers, teachers, parents, staff, and the community.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

- Demonstrate ability to interpret and implement federal laws, state rules, and local policies.
- Ability to be present on the jobsite.
- Demonstrate proficiency in implementing evidence-based strategies to support struggling learners.
