POSITION TITLE: HR CoordinatorDEPARTMENT: Human ResourcesREPORTS TO: HR LeadSummary:The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key support role within the HR Department, acting as both an administrator and ambassador of HR. This position assists in implementing HR programs and processes across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and standards. The role supports daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, leave management, performance processes, and various HR projects.Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, ensuring positive employee relations and a professional work environment.Coordinate and facilitate full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried employees, including placing advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting new hire orientations.Process and audit benefit enrolments, assist with open enrolment, and act as a liaison between benefit providers and employees.Assist with employee onboarding, processing new hire paperwork, and maintaining accurate employee records in compliance with legal and company standards.Track, verify, and process employee leave requests, including vacation, FMLA, and other types of time off.Support payroll processing, including reviewing and correcting timesheets within the Time and Attendance System; serve as backup for payroll processing when needed.Monitor and maintain employee files and documentation in a confidential and organized manner.Assist in the administration of Worker’s Compensation, COBRA, and disability claims.Support performance management, employee coaching efforts, and disciplinary documentation.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (EEO, FMLA, etc.).Ensure continued compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards.Participate in HR projects and initiatives including leadership development, policy review, HRIS improvements, and employee engagement activities.Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager, including filing, reporting, responding to inquiries, and phone support.Promote and support company safety and quality initiatives.Qualifications:Strong knowledge of HR principles, procedures, and applicable employment laws.Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS and Time and Attendance systems is a plus.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Education and Experience:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant HR experience; generalist or coordinator-level experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly preferred.
