You will partner with the leadership team to develop a deep understanding of the business, establishing both long and short-term goals that align with the company's objectives. You will lead sustainable initiatives, track and report sustainability metrics, and promote environmentally friendly practices within the organization. Additionally, you will mentor managers and staff, ensuring adherence to Relentless Continuous Improvement (RCI) standards.Responsibilties
Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost reduction and customer satisfaction through effective planning, use of technology, and coordination
Develop a deep understanding of the business and its goals, partner with the leadership team to establish long and short-term goals that support the overall success of the business
Maintain exceptional and effective communication between staff, internal and external customers. Clear hurdles for staff and customers
Plan and develop department standards which support the business unit and Meat Prepared Foods Division goals
Continuously monitor industry for best practices and technology, implementing as appropriate
Drive sustainable initiatives
Mentor, develop, and guide managers and staff
Plan for and provide opportunities for managers to train and expand RCI and Lean knowledge
Provide expert RCI guidance to staff
Ensure adherence to RCI and company standards
Responsible for departmental budget preparation and short/long-term financial planning and support Annual Operations Plan (AOP)
Actively monitor department financials to ensure budget compliance to maintain the ability to quickly identify deviations and take appropriate action
Monitor RCI project progress, provide guidance and direction as needed
Monitor, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of RCI metrics and operations metrics
Track and report on sustainability metrics such as energy consumption, waste reduction, water usage, and carbon footprint to ensure continuous improvement and transparency
Lead and coordinate projects that focus on sustainability, such as energy efficiency improvements, waste reduction programs, and sustainable sourcing initiatives
Create and implement sustainability initiatives that align with corporate objectives to reduce environmental impact
Promote sustainable practices within the organization and present regular sustainability reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities in sustainability efforts
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or related field preferred
Additional education or training in sustainability is preferred
5 years’ manufacturing, engineering, or similar industry experience
Preferred certifications Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, or similar certifications
Demonstrated experience with Lean or other Continuous Improvement Methodologies driving results is required
Effective in reviewing and analyzing data from various databases and software
Expert understanding of Kaizen Workshop tools for Lean Enterprise, using specific Lean Principles to achieve rapid continuous improvements to include A3 methodology, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
ERP with shop floor movement control
Ability to manage concurrent projects
Knowledge and experience in the design and manufacture of stainless-steel food processing equipment and sanitary design practices

Work in a climate-controlled factory
Stand continuously for long periods of time
Wearing safety clothing and equipment is required
Able to kneel, bend, crouch and climb ladders to access various parts of a machine
Able to lift-up to 45Ibs
