Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build electrical and mechanical proof-of-concept systems for next-gen research instruments
- Develop and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), manage surface mount assembly, and maintain lab equipment
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess feasibility for product integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable designs
- Write and maintain firmware for prototype systems (C/C++)
- Lead technical experimentation and documentation to validate performance
- Support internal training and promote technical knowledge-sharing across the company
Required:
- BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog/digital systems design
- Embedded systems (e.g., Microchip PIC, ESP, ARM, Raspberry Pi, Arduino)
- Programming (C/C++, Python, others as needed)
- PCB design and troubleshooting (e.g., Eagle, KiCad)
- Circuit simulation, assembly, and diagnostic tools (DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
- CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Experience with additive/subtractive prototyping (FDM, SLA, milling, laser cutting)
- Familiarity with ISO9001/ISO13485 standards
- Background in life science, chemical, or biological research environments
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics or airflow modeling
