Assists pedestrians and school children in safely crossing city streets.Schedule: Monday-Friday (Compensated for 1.5 hours per shift, 3 hours total per day)Morning Hours: 8:15 AM - 9:00 AM*Monday-Thursday Afternoon Hours: 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM* and Friday Afternoon Hours: 1:15 PM - 2:00 PM**School District schedule changes may affect these hours.This position does not offer benefits.QualificationsEducation and Experience:A. No education or experience is required. Must be age 18 or older.B. Working knowledge of safety rules and regulations in assisting children in crossing streets is preferred.C. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and communicate effectively verbally.Tools and EquipmentHandheld stop sign, safety vest, and traffic cones (provided).Typical Duties1. Controls traffic at school crossing intersections.2. Assists school children safely crossing City streets on their way to and from school.3.
