The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, adaptable and enjoys working with children aged 5-10 years old. The after school instructor will begin with training and assisting the team to eventually take over the lead teacher's position while out on maternity leave. This position can be filled for the rest of the school year with opportunities to continue the following school year. Flexible assistance is sought within the days/hours of Monday-Friday, 1:00-6:00pm.Job Responsibilities include:
  • Welcoming K-8 students after school
  • Supervising the safety of indoor and outdoor environments and enjoys being outdoors
  • Using a walkie talkie to communicate pick-up information
  • Leading and creating structured games and activities indoors and outdoors
  • Communicating effectively with Director of After School Programs and colleagues to maintain a positive working environment

  • Experience working with children (at least 1-2 years)
  • High School Graduate and pursuing higher education
  • Enthusiasm, maturity, good work ethic and enjoys working with children
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to become CPR certified)
