
Industry Sales Engineer

- Responsible for rapidly growing revenue into Bentley Systems' strategic assigned Users within a specific sales region
- Responsible for achieving defined sales and revenue targets
- Design and deliver Account Based Sales Campaigns and Outcome based Live Sessions
- Collaborate with marketing and solution engineering teams to create user specific sales initiative
- Create effective business plans to develop new business opportunities to increase Bentley solution adoption within the identified strategic users
- Expertly use LinkedIn and other social media channels as an instrument of User engagement and pipeline generation activities
- Supporting recruiting for Bentley events, seminars, conferences, and Channel partner events as required
- Develop relationships and conduct business meetings at various levels including C-Level, VPs, Directors with target accounts
- Develop and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide management with a reliable forecast. Document all different stages of the Bentley sales process in Salesforce.
- Promote our value proposition to designers, engineers, architects, contractors, and owners by providing workflow-based webinars and meetings showcasing solutions that can help customers meet and exceed business objectives.
- Carry out analyses for specific industries and market segments and identify new business potential.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all Commercial Offerings and Software Support Policies.
- Develop a deep knowledge of our desktop products and industry solutions to effectively identify users' needs and challenges and position the ideal software option for the user.
- Negotiate sales and/or service agreements.
- This is an individual contributor role.
- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week.
- This role requires communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in technical or engineering sales, ideally within geotechnical services, ground improvement, or construction materials, with focus on site investigations, soil-structure interaction, foundation design, slope stability, and ground improvement techniques.
- Proficiency with geotechnical analysis tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, LeapFrog or similar solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business, manage client relationships, and deliver customized technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of subsurface exploration methods, laboratory testing, and construction practices related to geotechnical engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- A positive attitude, eye for detail, resourceful and inquisitive.
- Self-starter, driven, and accountable.
- Strong grasp of the challenges facing geotechnical engineers with North America.
- Awareness of industry best practices for digital transformation with geotechnical engineering.
- Recent and relevant knowledge of major software vendors in this space is desired for competitive displacement and coexistence.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and coordinate activities.
- Excellent English and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone and web.
- Excellent cross-collaboration skills with various internal departments
- Ability to convert industry insights and knowledge to a value proposition for software solution.
- Ability to discuss product values, positioning, differentiation, and highlights.
- Ability to showcase the product and solution through canned videos if required.
