- Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Lead data architecture initiatives, overseeing the design and development of data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, and other data platforms.
- Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate BI visualization tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, finance, marketing) to understand their data needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Manage BI projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Optimize the use of existing BI tools and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data to address business challenges and uncover new opportunities.
- Champion a data-driven culture, promoting the use of BI insights in everyday business processes.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI analysts, developers, and/or data engineers.
- Oversee data analysis activities, including data mining, trend analysis, and predictive modeling, to extract actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide stakeholders with timely, relevant, and accurate information.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across all platforms and systems.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 4 years in a leadership/management role.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of BI professionals.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Infor, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with data governance best practices and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
