As a company, we continuously strive to improve living environments through products and services that benefit our customers’ lives working with work with dealers, builders, contractors, designers, and architects.The HVAC Load Calculation Specialist for the Commercial Quote Team performs residential and light commercial load calculations, duct designs, and equipment selections following ACCA Manual J, S, and D standards. You’ll work closely with the sales and quoting teams to deliver accurate system designs that meet customer needs. May provide sales support to the field as required.Position Responsibilities may include;
  • Perform detailed load calculations (Manual J) and duct designs (Manual D).
  • Select HVAC equipment using Manual S guidelines.
  • Review plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine system requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Quote Team to prepare accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Ensure all designs meet energy codes and industry standards.
  • Create professional reports and documentation for contractors.
  • Establish a tracking system and follow ups within a specified time frame
  • Support collaborative relationships with the Divisional Staff
  • Perform addition duties as needed
Nature and Scope:
  • Takes direction from Manager
  • Works within well-defined instructions
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience with Manual J, S, and D (ACCA certification preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and design principles.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Wrightsoft, Cool Calc, Elite).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • HVAC product/equipment knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Effective problem-solving skills
Experience:
  • 2 years' experience Manual J, S, and D (ACCA certification preferred).
  • 2 years' experience with HVAC design software (e.g., Wrightsoft, Cool Calc, Elite).
  • 2+ years HVAC experience preferred
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
