- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience; All manufacturing experience must be specifically machining, assembly, machine repair or inspection experience) and a minimum of 3 years Manufacturing Experience
- Aerospace Manufacturing experience
- Experience in tooling and fixturing design and working with tooling vendors
- Extensive experience with programming and operating multi axis mill and lathe CNC (and manual) machines.
- NC programming experience (APT, UG, or other structured systems.)
- Proficient in shop mathematic i.e. geometry and trigonometry, blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction - self-starter.
- Ability to interface with various levels of management (i.e., Design Engineering and Project) and shop floor workforce.
- Ability to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment; to cooperate and resolve conflicts; to recognize needs and be sensitive of others.
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in program/project management, including planning, execution, and documentation.
- Established skills in analyzing and resolving problems, with a focus on driving results.
