Our client is seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join their growing team in Mequon, WI. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts with precision and efficiency. You'll collaborate with engineers, leads, and fellow operators to troubleshoot issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines for drilling, milling, turning, and cutting operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Perform inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance and assist in troubleshooting machine/tooling issues.
- Document productivity, report part shortages, and communicate workflow disruptions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following safety and 6S procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and perform tasks for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to minimizing scrap and maximizing quality.
