Apply today!Job DescriptionPrimoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Earthwork/Dirt General Foreman to lead and oversee all field activities related to mass excavation, grading, backfilling, and site preparation. This position is responsible for supervising dirt crews, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are met while maintaining project schedules and budgets.General Responsibilities
  • Direct on-site supervision of dirt crews including operators, laborers, and truck drivers.
  • Coordinate daily operations involving excavation, grading, compaction, and hauling.
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free job site.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage labor, equipment, and material resources efficiently.
  • Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and grade stakes to ensure accurate execution.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other Foremen to meet deadlines and project specifications.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil or earthwork construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of dirt work processes, GPS and laser grading systems, and soil types/compaction techniques.
  • Ability to lead a team, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity under pressure.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug screen and physical evaluation.
  • OSHA 30 and/or other construction safety certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on uneven terrain, and remain on feet for long periods.
  • Comfortable working in all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be clean-shaven and able to wear a respirator and full PPE when required.
Work Environment
Outdoor industrial construction site with varying terrain and weather conditions. May require work at heights or in confined spaces.Benefits
