Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Material Handling Associate is responsible for coordinating material transactions to support in-house manufacturing and customer orders. This position is based in Morton, IL.ResponsibilitiesAs Material Handling Associate, you will:
Receive and store raw materials and finished goods from suppliers
Lead incoming material inspections to ensure quality of materials
Create supplier defect reports and supplier corrective action requests
Pick, transfer and setup materials for production jobs and customer orders
Ensure stock inventory levels are maintained to adequately meet operational needs
Ensure inventory accuracy by performing physical counts, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies
Responsible for coordinating vendor managed inventory activities and replenishing KANBAN
De-trash and dispose of boxes and other packaging
Constantly seek and implement continuous improvements using Lean methodologies
QualificationsMust-Have:
High School Diploma
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in material handling, preferably in a production environment
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
Ability to lift 40 pounds

Experience and use of ERP and visual manufacturing processes and systems

Lean warehouse and materials management experience
Knowledge of supplier quality and supplier corrective action processes
