
Facilities Electrician

- Apply electrical formulas, code requirements, and technical data to complete tasks accurately and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and restore power to systems and equipment efficiently
- Plan and execute layouts and installations of electrical systems, fixtures, and controls
- Conduct scheduled inspections and routine maintenance to prevent system breakdowns
- Maintain electrical distribution systems following regulatory safety codes and best practices
- Determine material, tool, and labor requirements for assigned tasks
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to electrical and mechanical equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment by observing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure electrical systems comply with building and safety codes
- Support cross-functional teams with electrical tasks and facility needs
- Operate facility systems or assigned equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete documentation, logs, and checklists as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and tools
- Participate in training and skill development opportunities
- Perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical work experience or equivalent education/training
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable regulations (e.g., NEC/FBC)
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Frequent exposure to temperature (e.g., hot greenhouse environments and cold indoor rooms)
- Exposure to environmental elements such as dust, fumes, allergens (including cannabis), plant material, and cleaning chemicals
- Work in areas with humidity and varying lighting or air conditioning levels
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship or vocational program
- Experience equivalent to a Journeyman Electrician level
- Proficiency with testing tools such as multimeters, voltage/phase testers, etc.
- Experience with backup power systems, high-hazard zones, or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of complex schematics and technical documentation
- Ability to consistently lift to 25 lbs.
- Ability to be in a constant standing/moving position
- Ability to perform various physical tasks such as lifting, standing, squatting, and repetitive motions
- Ability to wear the required PPE, including but not limited to safety glasses and safety shoes
