When needed, perform utility functions which include the placement of moulds on the line, and the removal of moulds from the line. Monitor moulds for spots and remove candy from mould when chocolate sticks. Supply inclusions at drop area of the creamers, and shell room high garnish depositor. Melt chocolate, wash moulds and perform house keeping duties as assigned.Primary job is packer, but required to perform any of the above mentioned utility work at leader discretion based upon crewing and scheduling requirements. Performing the utility duties will qualify for the Utility/Mould Feed rate of pay.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.)Inspect bottom of candy pieces, place color coded label to designated candy, then place card or tray on candy mould.Inspect & straighten candy pieces, making decision based on QA guidelines.Place paper or foam and stack, counting layers, and place in 031 container (per schedule V), then slide to weigh position.Supply and inspect cards and trays to prevent cross contact of powder, nut or chocolate debris.Form boxes and insert bags (when applicable).Inspect candy when stacked off, weigh record and bag X-pack.Perform all related duties on Knobel DecoratorPlace moulds on line, per schedule, with specific gaps in line for changeoversMould swap as instructedInspect moulds for spots or other defects and pull off lineRemove candy from mould when chocolate doesn’t bang outMonitor detractor switch for stringing marbleized pieces, and fill mini temper unit.Add nut or cherry inclusions at creamer area.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Supply and inspect cards & trays, to prevent powder or chocolate debrisForm boxes and insert bagsInspect candy when stacked off: and record, weigh, and bag x-packPerform all related duties on knobel decorator.May be required to pull and wrap skidsFollow all standard operating procedures (SOP), Policies, and GMP’s.Assure adherence to Food Safety Requirements and Work Instructions.Report problems regarding food safety to supervisor or manager.Train new employees as requiredShut down line if serious safety or quality problem arisesMaintain home department in a clean and orderly mannerRequired to work until end of production shift dailySupply inclusions at drop area of the creamers and record usage.Place moulds on line, per schedule, with specific gaps in line for changeovers.Mould swap as instructed.Inspect moulds for spots or other debris and pull off line.Remove any stuck candy from mould and replace dirty moulds as needed.Monitor detractor switch, scrape pan and fill mini tempering unit when string decorating.May occasionally be required to pull and wrap skids.Comply with all safety policies, report safety violations, and attend safety meetings.Maintain home department in a clean and orderly manner..Performs other related duties as requested by leader or supervisor.Required to work until end of production shift dailySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:NoneQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
