
Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

- Support external financial reporting process, including the preparation of external financial statements and disclosures as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (Form 10-Q’s, Form 10-K’s, and Form 8-K’s).
- Support a continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and helping to suggest areas of improvement to facilitate a more efficient SEC and financial reporting process.
- Supervise and remain informed on new and proposed accounting and regulatory developments and evaluate their potential effect on the Company and its financial statements, including but not limited to items issued by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB.
- Work with the Finance organization to ensure the Company’s compliance with generally accepted accounting principles by consulting on issues and through technical accounting and reporting training.
- Conduct research and analysis of complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to management.
- Perform analysis and special projects, as required.
- Support SOX compliance and assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors.
- Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications.
- Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment of significant or unusual transactions, or other accounting and finance-related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred.
- Experience with SEC reporting.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
