- Manage hazardous conditions and collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with OSHA and ARCO Safety policies.
- Continuously assess and manage the safety compliance of multiple subcontractor operations
- Clarify safety rules, coach best practices, and actively promote a safety-first culture in site meetings and during operations.
- Lead safety incident investigations, conduct daily orientations, and perform additional duties as required.
- Conduct formal incident investigations, root cause analysis, and assist in the development of corrective actions for any onsite incidents.
- Stay updated on safety regulations, site-specific policies, and collaborate with the project team to address safety hazards
- Integrate safety into project planning.
- Proactively solve problems and work closely with project team members at multiple levels to ensure compliance and best practices throughout the construction process.
- 5-15 years of experience in Safety and Health is preferred.
- Experience in construction and concrete work is preferred.
- GSP/ASP/CSP certification(s) are preferred.
- A BS in Occupational Health and Safety or a closely related field is required.
- Ability to stay positive, upbeat, and have fun.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and influence others to prioritize safety.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify atypical hazards, communicate them effectively, and implement proactive corrective actions.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
- Must be able to climb up to 350 ft and lift up to 50 lbs.
