- Understand, develop start up and shut down procedures necessary to minimize downtime and equipment wear and tear
- Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as trained during the various safety-related training programs. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers/supervisors. Properly uses all personal protective equipment
- Manage projects related to equipment and processes.
- Generate ideas for improvement independently.
- Document procedures, processes, and results.
- Create or modify operational documents.
- Calculate costs and /or returns to support projects.
- Work with or lead cross-functional teams.
- Utilize basic scientific and engineering principles to solve problems and implement improvements.
- Communicate ideas and results to operators, peers, and management.
- Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance to facility.
- Using own initiative, follow up with results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Understands and follows procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
- Provide training and mentoring support to injection molding processors, maintenance techs and tooling personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area through general housekeeping and 5S activities.
- Perform other related duties as required or directed by management.
- Must be willing to occasionally adjust work schedule to meet with and monitor performance of off shifts or for evaluation of process conformance to plan or documented standards.
- Willing to support plant on off shifts to ensure continuity to plan.
- Minimum 2 years education in a technical field and/or minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a technical area.
- Technical aptitude for mechanical and electrical and hydraulic equipment.
- An understanding in Electrical and Mechanical energy sources.
- Ability to trouble shoot equipment and find root causes of issues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good computer and documentation skills
- Proven record of successfully operating independtly with little or no direct supervision.
- Develop training and technical documents to present and/or instruct others on new processes or equipment.

Able to see, hear and speak, able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel and climb. Able to use both arms and hands to use computer, peripherals, and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead. Able to work in confined spaces and on stationary o mobile elevated platforms. Able to wear all PPE as required.
