- Assist the Security Manager with Executive Protection responsibilities as needed
- Supplement protection details during events requiring additional personnel
- Serve as Executive Protection coverage when the Security Manager is unavailable
- Support travel advance planning, including route planning, venue reviews, and logistical coordination
- Maintain situational awareness and report any intelligence relevant to executive safety
- Provide secure transportation for principal owners, their family members, and senior-level executives as directed
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and route familiarity while operating company or rental vehicles
- Ensure vehicles are fueled, maintained, and ready for immediate use for executive transport needs
- Serve as the lead for all access control operations at company facilities
- Monitor employee access to company facilities and visitor entry through reception areas
- Ensure that all individuals entering the facility are properly identified and authorized
- Manage and maintain access control systems, including electronic badge systems and visitor logs
- Issue, collect, and audit security credentials, ID badges, and keycards
- Enforce visitor management protocols, including sign-in/sign-out procedures, escort policies, and temporary badge issuance
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, gates, access points, and security hardware to ensure they are functioning and secure
- Respond to unauthorized access attempts, system alarms, and other facility-related incidents
- Maintain logs of all access control and security incidents, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Coordinate with facilities management on physical security upgrades, repairs, or procedural improvements
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure readiness and compliance with internal policies
- Conduct assessments of the interior and exterior of company facilities to detect and respond to security or safety concerns
- Assist in developing and updating company security polices, emergency response plans and internal standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire department, and emergency responders when necessary
- Prepare clear and concise reports of incidents, suspicious activity, and daily operations
- Minimum of three years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or a related field.
- Legally authorized to carry a firearm in the State of Michigan; valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) required
- Documented firearms training with regular qualification and responsible firearm handling
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physically able to stand/walk for long periods of time, and respond quickly during emergency situations
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with security technology, including surveillance systems, access control platforms, and communications tools
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- Familiarity with protective intelligence and threat assessment tools
- Experience coordinating logistics for travel or corporate events
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
