- Responsible for assisting with staffing coverage and scheduling of the department.
- Assist with communication throughout the day with all drivers giving direction to each regarding the day’s schedule.
- Conducts regular inspections of all vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assists the director with input on daily performance of all drivers.
- Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
- Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Assists Director with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
- Assist with inspection and documenting vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
- Manages scheduling and execution of all transportation services for the residents. Also, manages the Security schedule and coverage.
- Creates and makes necessary adjustments to security and transportation schedules.
- Manages the security system daily operations.
- Maintains a written log for security activities. Reviews previous log entries, notes and memos. Briefs in-coming security personnel of important issues.
- Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Ensures the that the Security Team is conducting safety and security inspections of all community property to include common areas, resident corridors, parking areas and perimeter access.
- Assist and monitor the patrol of the community buildings and grounds as scheduled.
- Oversees parking lot compliance. Investigates and settles parking disputes. Maintains resident parking master plan.
- Spot checks the doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are secure.
- Routinely, patrols community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire or safety codes.
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unsecured.
- Investigates and reports all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
- Investigates all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident report appropriately.
- Responds to all security calls and complaints, taking necessary action and handling on-scene emergencies until relieved by a Supervisor.
- Inspects and reports all dangerous conditions and any damaged or defective equipment, machinery and property.
- Secures and unlocks areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectation.
- Ensures that the team is taking care of the flag responsibilities.
- Assist with notifying the appropriate agencies in situations where their emergency response and support is necessary.
- Sounds alarm and/or calls policy/fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with driers or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
- Assist in emergency response procedures as per community policy.
- Ensures outside furniture or fixtures are secure in the event of inclement weather.
- Assist with the schedules and provides transportation for residents in accordance with policy.
- May be required to drive the community vehicle if necessary.

- High School diploma or Equivalent.
- Florida Security Officer License
- One-year job related experience preferred.
