You will be operating machines for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical 1st shift hours are 6:00 am-4:30 pm and 2nd shift hours are 4:20 pm-2:50 am Monday - Friday. Availability for overtime, including weekends and during peak production times, is a plus. This position offers a hire-on-bonus!Job duties:-Follow written instructions and read and interpret blueprints and specifications.-Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finish specifications.-Able to perform simple set-ups of many jobs. May operate more than one machine.-Checks parts for conformance to specifications with precision gauges.-Read and react accordingly to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports-Complete problem-solving activities with a continuous improvement mindset-Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.-Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.The Right Person/What we need from you:-Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and true five-axis experience or equivalent.-Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures, specifically the Okuma 5-axis OSP-P300 CNC Control.-Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close-Experience with part loading/unloading utilizing a crane and basic material handling knowledge-Experience with manual clamping/part location as well as-Experience with tool setup and compensation processes-Geometric tolerancing and dimensioning trained-Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.-Must be able to read and write English.
