- Assist development project leads in a broad range of activities including site acquisition, financing, governmental approvals, design and construction monitoring, project branding, sales, and marketing strategy.
- Conduct market, site, and zoning assessments and support all related due diligence for development feasibility.
- Perform market research to benchmark trends by tracking rents, sales per SF, operating costs, and competitive supply/expansion activity.
- Support the team in underwriting new development deals, including preparing business plans, financial forecasts, annual operating plans, strategic plans, and product introduction financials.
- Regularly assess financial and operational performance of existing assets and prepare detailed quarterly reports for senior leadership.
- Prepare detailed financial models for transaction underwriting, return analysis, and scenario planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor construction budgets, costs, and delivery timelines.
- Author internal and external correspondence, including investment memoranda, transaction summaries, and property descriptions for asset sales and capital raises.
- Coordinate with external partners, architects, and design consultants to align external inputs with project goals and schedules.
- Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and capital partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in real estate development, investment banking, or a related field.
- A real passion for real estate development, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong work ethic.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in real estate financial modeling preferred.
- Experience in multi-family or hospitality development a plus.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a demonstrated desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
