- Work with the Fugro Sac office Principal Engineer and Fugro California and Western US business leaders to establish an expansion plan for the Northern California area.
- Work independently to identify ways to support the Fugro business sectors.
- Be willing and able to travel extensively (required), both domestically and internationally.
- Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures.
- Support and encourage continuous improvement of the company’s processes.
- Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, the ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
- Must reside, or be willing to relocate to live within 30 - 60 minutes of our Sacramento area office location.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or water resource management from an accredited college or university highly preferred.
- Licensed California Professional Engineer required.
- Registered as a Certified Industrial Hygienist also highly preferred.
- Have 12 years or more of "high touch" engineering consultation with geo-environmental/ hazardous waste assessment.
- Have 5 years or more of experience participating on a management team of an engineering firm. Management of a group is preferred.
- Provide evidence of successfully building business relationships.
- Knowledge of proposal preparation and lead generation processes.
- Bringing in business relationships that can be fostered is a plus.
- Possess understanding and working knowledge of natural resources sensitivities, environmental regulatory framework, geo-environmental and geotechnical investigation methods, industrial hygiene practices, aquifer assessments, well and piezometer construction practices, geochemistry, field and construction safety practices, hazardous waste management laws, environmental site assessments, and remedial action and implementation.
- Possess data management, math, and statistics skills.
- Must be computer literate, and able to learn software for communication, project management, and technical analysis.
- Proficient in technical writing and editing for content.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
