OverviewPresbyterian is seeking a skilled Cardio Tech to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of Cardiovascular Lab patients. Common responsibilities include performing electrocardiograms, ICD downloads, holter monitor and event recorder hook up. Perform cardiovascular stress testing.Type of Opportunity: Per Required Need (PRN)

Qualifications
  • Minimum one year cardiac/medical experience required.
  • Must pass treadmill training protocol within 6 months of hire.
  • Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia Class within two attempts.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS Certification required at time of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Ensures patient safety through use of procedure protocols and policies.
  • Operate an ECG machine to record electric activity variations and impulses of the heart.
  • Proficient computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.
  • Edits, processes, archives, and order entries for adult and pediatric 12 lead ECGs utilizing the MUSE system and Epic.
  • Respond to ECG orders accordingly to STAT, ASAP, and routine.
  • Alert nurse and or provider for significant abnormalities on the EKG.
  • Enroll and instruct the placement of Holter monitors and event recorders on patients who are leaving the hospital.
