Position Details:
  • Full-Time (36 hours per week)
  • 10 Hour Day Shifts - 4 Days per Week: 7:30am-6pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Call Rotation Required for Week Overnights & Weekends
  • Week Overnight Call Rotation (1 shift within one or two weeks): Monday - Thursday (6pm-7:30am)
  • Weekend Call Rotation (occurring every 10th or 11th weekend): Friday (6pm) to Saturday (8am) & Saturday (4pm) to Monday (7:30am) - Saturdays (0800-1600) 3-4 times per year
  • Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures

Experience:
  • No IR Tech experience necessary willing to train

Neuroradiology, comprises highly trained Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses who work as a team to perform complex procedures such as cerebral angiography, myelography, stent placements and aneurysm coilings and embolizations. The Radiology Department at the Washington University Medical Center is regarded as one of the top five in the United States. It performs over 453,000 diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures annually.
Preferred QualificationsRole PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.Responsibilities * Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
