Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager.Summary:
  • Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their team to oversee construction installation projects. This role will provide coordination, project management, planning and implementation for systems addressing their client’s needs.
  • The projects are primarily in aviation, shipyard, mining, military, and other industrial settings.
  • It will be important that all candidates have a strong background ensuring budgets are met, materials are in place, and experience coordinating general contractors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support Service Sales pre-turnover activities including pre-release approvals.
  • Participate in project contract review.
  • Coordinate design review, as needed.
  • Plan and execute specialty projects.
  • Responsible for project costs and overruns, if applicable, to the bid calc.
  • Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical drawing submittals.
  • Responsible for service activities, end-user, and General Contractor (GC) coordination.
  • Responsible for managing project Change Orders.
  • Coordinate field activities.
  • Plan and implement project coordination improvements “historical issues”.
  • Responsible for technical questions regarding work performed.
  • Assist with Service Sales requests such as technical questions & project administration questions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Knowledge of general building construction management.
  • Experience with architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of contract review & negotiations
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving experience and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work and lead in a team environment.
  • Proven organizational skills; prioritize and organize tasks, efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate a “sense of urgency” on getting tasks closure.
  • Proven customer resolution skills and ability to maintain perspective in conflict resolution.
  • Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • 3+ years of project management experience over construction projects with proven experience in strategic planning
  • Background with general contracting or sub-contracting
Preferred:
  • PMP
Pay Range:
  • $85 – 95k, annual salary
