Capitol Aggregates is seeking a Jr. Process Engineer to join our Cement Division. Under the guidance of our Process Engineer and in collaboration with operations teams, this role will support process optimization, data analysis, and problem-solving efforts to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality and safety across cement production.What You’ll DoAssist in monitoring daily production trends and participate in weekly process review routines.Collaborate with the process engineer to implement optimization projects focused on efficiency, energy reduction, waste minimization, and quality improvement.Collect and analyze data from raw material handling, grinding, kiln operation, and cement milling for statistical analysis.Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, updating the RCA action plan and dashboard.Contribute to a 5S Program project, improving organization and operational conditions within a plant area.Track and update downtime in the Uptime Go system.Support weekly updates to the plant’s technical and operational training tracker.Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all company safety rules, procedures, and MSHA regulations.What You’ll BringProficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with familiarity in data analysis.Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret process and performance data.Basic knowledge of process engineering principles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.Interest in process optimization, safety, and technical development.Education & ExperienceCurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Junior or senior academic standing required.GPA of 2.5–3.3 or higher.Basic understanding of process control systems and industrial automation is a plus.Why You’ll Love This Job✔ Hands-on learning in cement plant operations and process engineering.
